Late Breaking News...

...I'm finally updating the blog!! Here are a few pictures from the second or third weekend in March. And what a crazy weekend it was as far as the weather was concerned! The first pictures are on Sunday while we were at the park. It was windy (see Ella's hair) and warm. The second half were from Saturday and we were at Canyon Lake and it was freezing!! I want to tell you more about it but Ella is pulling my fingers off of the keys and telling me "No mommie, Ella milk!" So enjoy the photos!

Quick Update & Pictures

Sorry I haven't posted in forever, but I feel like I never have the time. Some of you may have already seen these but most have not. She is not walking yet but is on the verge of doing so any time now. These are a few of my favorite pictures of her! I hope to get caught up on this soon. (I hope!!)

Poppies

About two weekends ago we went to Fredricksburg with my parents (Me-Maw & Paw Paw) and had a great time. There is a place called Wild Seed Farms and it is the cooliest place if you love wild flowers. Here are a few pictures of Ella in front of the Red Poppies!

Fun Day at the Park

There are so many great parks in New Braunfels that Sam & I never knew about until we had Ella. Here are a few pictures from a play date at Cypress Bend park.
We weren't sure how Ella would do on the swings, but you can see from the pictures that she had a blast. She was laughing the entire time!!

Easter

Here are a few pictures from Easter. Tucker was really wanting to eat all of her goodies.

Posing for Daddy

She found the cookies

Which one to eat???

Bath Time Fun

Ella loves taking a bath. Splashing the water, playing with her duck and her newest thing is to stand up where ever she can.

She also loves to "sing!" It's more like an ear piercing scream, but it's really cute and funny!!

Doesn't she look like Popeye!

Here is her silly face

Playing Catch Up!!

Sorry it has been so long since our last post. Ella is changing so fast and so much that it's hard to keep up! The last time I put pictures up, they were from Christmas and she had just learned to sit up on her own. Well sitting up is old news. She started "army" crawling and did so for almost a month. As of just last week she has started crawling on her hands and knees. She has also cut her first two teeth. One day we noticed them through her gums, then two days later they had cut through the skin. Boy are they sharp!!! Let's see what else is she doing...Oh yea, she claps her hands together when she gets excited or sees something she likes. She also makes this grunting sound. It reminds me a monster or baby demon but cute!! She squills when she sees Sam and makes the Dada sound. Sometimes it almost sounds like daddy, but I 'm sure we're just hearing what we want to. Then the coolest thing of all happened on Monday. For those that don't know we have been doing sign language with Ella. Probably not as consistent as we should be but apparently enough. So I was making her a bottle the other day and she started making the sign to me over and over again. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but every time she saw the bottle she would do it over and over! What a genius!! Wow, that was a lot of stuff.

As for me and Sam, we both just celebrated our 31st birthdays, and we are doing great. Sam's, girls basketball team is playing in the state final for the first time this weekend and the boys need to win two more games and they will be there for the first time as well. Wish them luck. Sam is getting ready to compete in his first Bar B Que cook off. He got a new smoker for his birthday, so I'm sure we'll be eating a lot of brisket and ribs in the weeks to come.

I recently joined two groups. The first is MOPS, which stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. We meet once a month and do fun things like make crafts and listen to speakers. It is great to finally meet some other moms in town and be able to have some adult conversation once in a while. (Thanks, Hilary for recommending it!) The other group is Kinder Moms and it's more for the kids. They schedule play dates during the month with different activities each time. So while the kids are playing the moms are talking and having a good time as well. Hopefully Sam and I can make some new friends. Well the boss lady is screaming at me so I need to go.
