4 months and counting...

I'm finally posting again. Every time I want to do this something else comes up. So here is an update on what has been going on and of course the reason everyone checks in.... Ella!! She just turned 4 months old on the 14th and we had our check up this Monday the 15th. She now weighs 13 lbs and 9 ozs, and she is 24 inches long.

We can't believe that she has grown 3 inched in only 2 months!!! The other day Sam and I were playing with her on the floor. She was on her back and was rolling to her side. We turned to grab another toy and when we turned back she was on her belly. We couldn't believe that we missed it and that she had done it. Her new thing is to help me when I'm feeding her, which at first was cute when she would hold on to my fingers. Now she likes to pull the bottle out, cry because it's not there, then put it back. This was cute once! Now it's a struggle to get through a feeding. It doesn't happen all of the time but when it does, there is milk every where, she's crying and moving all over the place and when I try and prevent her from doing this she starts moving her head in a side to side, no, motion until I let her do it again. Oh the joys of being a mom. We have finally got her on a sleeping schedule and on almost all nights she sleeps to about 6am, feeds then sleeps until 8:30-9. This is WONDERFUL!!!!! We are starting to remember what it's like to sleep through the night.
Sam is almost done with football season and we can't wait. He'll be able to be home earlier to spend more time with us and to see Ella more than for just 2-3 hours each night. Our routine is that he bathes and lotions her every night except for Friday, then I feed and put her to sleep. We turn on the monitor and go downstairs to spend time together and watch some of our shows. I just had my thyroid removed. I was going to have this done last year but the day of surgery, found out that I was pregnant. So I went back, had all the tests redone and we removed the entire thing. There was a benign tumor on it. I have started taking thyroid replacements and feel better that it is finally done. My arm is doing great. I am working on increasing my extension and have finally been given permission to start on the strengthening. I only have one other thing before I stop... I have wanted to find something to take Ella's photo with every month so that you can see how much she has grown. I'm using her high chair and bumpo. Do you think this is a good measure to show her growth or is there a better way. Please let me know. Thanks and enjoy the photos
